These small houses are an ode to gratitude - to the quiet rituals that connect us to the idea of home.
The repeated form and the rhythmic marks recall the universal practice of counting - a gesture shared by many faiths. From Christian rosary beads to Hindu mala, Buddhist prayer strands to Islamic misbaha, the act of touching and counting becomes a meditation: a way to hold one’s blessings in the hands.
Each mark, each burn, each layer of wax is both prayer and preservation - a reminder that the everyday spaces we live in are sacred in their own right.
