Pā o te hā means ‘meeting of the life essence’. The pattern was inspired by a combination of kowhaiwhai (Māori painted ornamentation), Norse and Celtic knot work designs and represents the coalescence of my Māori and Pākehā ancestry - Ariana Morris-Cootes
