Scott McIntosh is a New Zealand artist based between the mountains and the sea on Te Waipounamu’s east coast. The local landscape especially the mountains is a heavy influence in his works but not in a traditional sense, you will see them mixed in with a good helping of tattoo and skate culture and a blending of painting styles to create bold bright unique works of art.
My experiences in this world are what shapes my work and the ability to see things for what they really are and then portray them often in a juxtaposition in my paintings is what I feel leaves people often with more questions than answers or a flash to a memory of their own lived human experience.
